Mount the dish high with a clear view of the sky - no trees, rooftops or buildings blocking it. Even a small obstruction cuts speeds significantly.

Use the Starlink App
Download the free Starlink app before installation. It has an obstruction checker - point your phone at the sky to find the best mounting spot.
TIP 03
Power Stability
Use a surge protector or UPS. Starlink draws about 50-75W and needs stable power. Power surges can damage the router. An inverter/UPS keeps it running during load shedding.

WiFi Range
The Starlink router covers a standard home. For larger properties, add a mesh WiFi extender. Position the router centrally for best coverage throughout the building.

Rain & Weather

Too much heat damages batteries and performance. Do not leave devices charging in the sun, in hot cars, or under pillows.
Water Damage
If a phone gets wet, power it off immediately and bring it in fast. The quicker the action, the better the recovery chance.
